PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Curry College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Rhode Island College Friday afternoon in non-conference action at the RIC Tennis Center.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 0-5 on the season.

Rhode Island College won all three doubles matches to take control of the contest from the outset. Junior Kevin Meade (Milton, Mass.) and senior Tim O'Brien (Attleboro, Mass.) kept things interesting at second doubles, but ultimately fell by a margin of 8-5.

In singles, it was once again all Anchormen, as the hosts won all six matches to secure the 9-0 sweep. Curry's best shot at a victory came at second singles, where junior Nick Bell (Haverhill, Mass.) dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision.

Curry will return to the courts to host both their home and CCC opener on Saturday morning, facing Suffolk University at the Trent J. Scott Courts at 11 a.m.
