Men's Tennis Blanked at Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Curry College men's tennis team was defeated by Endicott College in a 9-0 final in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest on Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Courts.

Endicott (5-4 overall, 3-1 CCC) controlled the match, sweeping through the doubles competition before winning all of six points in straight sets.

Senior Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) blanked junior Lorenzo Russo (Lynnfield, Mass.) 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Freshman Roland Polasek (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic) fell to freshman Julian Richtarich (Westport, Conn.) 6-0 and 6-2 at the No. 2 spot. Sophomore Nick Bell (Haverhill, Mass.) lost to Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores at No. 3. Junior Elijah Harris (Haverhill, Mass.) topped junior David Monteiro (Fall River, Mass.) 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Junior Zachary Lane (Rutland, Vt.) got by junior Tarek Paranica (Grand Forks, N.D.) 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Freshman Michael Fowler (Tewksbury, Mass.) won at No. 6 via a forfeit.

Curry (0-8 overall, 0-4 CCC) will return to action at Gordon College on Wednesday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m.
