Undefeated Suffolk Deals Men's Tennis a 7-2 Loss

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College fell to visiting Suffolk University 7-2 in non-conference men's tennis action Monday afternoon in Milton. With the win, the Rams remained unbeaten at 9-0. The Colonels slipped to 3-11. [Box Score]

Suffolk opened the match with a sweep of the doubles competition. Chris Staley and John Samander defeated Tyler Dulmage and Tyler Collins, 8-2 at #1; Albert Buruga and Dachuan Zhu edged Charlie Edlund and J.D. Moyer, 9-8 (8-6) at #2; and Justin Ayoub and Vassili Stroganov took care of Robert Rosenbaum and Thomas Bagley, 8-2 at #3.

The singles broke 4-2 in favor of the Rams. The visitors got wins at #1 from Staley, #2 from Samander, #4 from Stroganov, and #6 from Thay Thao. Curry grabbed its only two points of the match at #3, where Moyer knocked off Ayoub, 6-2, 6-3; and at #5, where Rosenbaum handled Daniel Kelly, 6-3, 6-2.

Suffolk is back in action on Thursday, traveling to Babson for a 3:30 p.m. match. The Colonels close out their conference schedule on Wednesday, hosting Roger Williams in a 3:30 p.m. match.
