Men's Tennis Knocked Off 6-3 By Visiting Salve Regina

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Men’s Tennis team lost to visiting Salve Regina, 6-3, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) men’s tennis action Saturday afternoon in Milton. With the victory, the Seahawks improve to 1-5 (1-1 TCCC) while the Colonels fall to 0-3 (0-2 TCCC).

Salve Regina held a 2-1 lead after the completion of doubles competition, earning points from Chad Strong and Zachary Rosenfeld at #1, and Aaron Isch and Brian Castrichini at #2. Curry got its doubles point from Thomas Bagley and Robert Rosenbaum at #3.

The visitors put the match away with four wins in singles, as Strong, Rosenfeld and Isch were dominant at Nos. 1-3, respectively. The tightest match of the day came at #4, where Castrichini outlasted the Colonels’ Tyler Collins, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. Rosenbaum and Bagley were straight-set winners for the host team at #5 and #6.

The Seahawks next play on March 29, hosting conference rival Anna Maria at 4:00 p.m. Curry also resumes action on the 29th, traveling to TCCC foe Colby-Sawyer for a 3:30 p.m. match.
