Men's Soccer Ends Season at RWU

Bristol, RI - The Curry Men's Soccer team ended their season on Tuesday, facing off with Roger Williams. The Colonels would fall 5-0, and end their season 6-10-4 overall, and 0-5-4 in CNE play, The Hawks are 9-7-3 and 4-3-2.

The Hawks got on the board early, scoring in the 13th and 18th minutes to take a 2-0 lead. It stayed that way until the 62nd minute, when the Hawks would score three goals in a 10 minute stand.

The Hawks outshot the Colonels 16-3, and won the corner kick battle 8-2.

Justin Ritz made four saves in net for the Colonels.

The Colonels were led this year by Aiden Watts' 11 goals, the 7th most in a single season in program history. The Colonels will look to pair him up next year with Lucas Drons, the person with the 5th and 6th highest goal scoring seasons in program history, and third most career goals (33). Drons missed a majority of this season with an injury.

The Colonels will also return starting goalkeeper Brenden Cunningham, who had a 1.47 goals against average this season, good for the 8th best in program history. His career GAA of 1.66 ranks fourth.

Th Colonels will lose two starters in Giovanni Martins and Naytik Vora, both graduate students. Martins was the lone Colonels to register more than one assist on the season, collecting four.
