FITCHBURG, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 3-0 by Fitchburg State in a non-conference collegiate men's soccer match Tuesday night at Elliot Field.
With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 5-3 on the season.
The Colonels took a total of nine shots with Ray Weinstein (Goshen, N.Y.) leading the charge with two shots on goal. Aiden Watts (Plaistow, N.H.) and Giovanni Martins (Brockton, Mass.) also pressured the Fitchburg goalie each with a shot on goal.
Justin Ritz (Carver, Mass.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making nine saves and falling to an overall record of 2-2 on the season.
Curry College opens conference play against Wentworth in a road match beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st.
