CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Curry College opened the 2024 season with a 4-1 loss to MIT in a non-conference collegiate men's soccer match Friday afternoon at Jack Barry Field.
With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-1 on the young season.
Senior Lucas Drons (Bellingham, Mass.) was the lone goal scorer for the Colonels, finding the back of the net in the 68th minute of play to score his first unassisted goal of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Justin Ritz (Carver, Mass.) did his best to keep the Colonels in the game, making seven saves on 11 shots on goal.
The Colonels open home play on Sunday, September 1st, with a non-conference matchup against UMass Dartmouth beginning at 1 p.m.
