Curry Unveils 2022 Men's Soccer Schedule

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College Department of Athletics officially announced its 2022 men’s soccer schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The 17-game campaign will feature eight non-conference contests and nine showdowns against Commonwealth Coast Conference rivals. The Colonels will host nine games at Walter M. Katz Field, while hitting the road on eight occasions.
The season will kick off on Thursday, September 1 as the Colonels host Anna Maria at Katz Field. The contest serves as the very first home game for any Curry athletic team in the 2022-23 academic year.
Other non-league opponents visiting Katz Field in 2022 are Worcester State (September 28), Lesley (October 3), and Plymouth State (October 5).
Following the season opener, five of the next six games will be played on the road, with the only home contest in the span the CCC opener against Western New England University on September 17.
Six of Curry’s final eight regular season contests are slated to be played at Katz Field. Notable matchups during the stretch include the annual Homecoming game on Friday, October 14 against Suffolk and Senior Day against Salve Regina on Saturday, October 22. Curry men’s soccer’s Class of 2023 will be honored on the field in a special pregame ceremony prior to playing their final regular season contest at Katz Field.
The Colonels will conclude their 2022 regular season three days later on the road at Gordon College on Tuesday, October 25.
“We are excited to continue to build upon last year and push ourselves to have an even stronger 2022 season,” said Curry men’s soccer head coach Peter Mendel. “We have a tough and competitive non-league schedule that will prepare this young team for the CCC. The CCC is a tremendous soccer conference with quality players and coaches. Every game is a battle, which leads to some great matchups throughout the season.”
