Two Colonels Earn CCC Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors

MILTON, Mass. - Two Curry College men's soccer student-athletes received Third Team All-Conference selections Thursday morning as the Commonwealth Coast Conference released its end of season awards.

Junior Ryan Brady (Weymouth, Mass.) and sophomore Giovanni Martins (Brockton, Mass.) each earned their first All-Conference honors from the league.

Brady appeared in all 18 games at forward for the Colonels in 2021, accumulating four goals and two assists for 10 points. He scored one game-winning goal on the season, coming against Lasell on September 26. Both of his assists came in the same game, a 2-1 CCC victory over Wentworth on October 12.

Martins was Curry's leading scorer in 2021 with six goals and two assists for 14 points in 18 games played. The sophomore also notched a pair of game-winning goals on the season, coming in back-to-back conference victories over Wentworth and the University of New England on October 12 and October 15. Martins was a one-time CCC Player of the Week and one-time CCC Rookie of the Week for the Colonels.

Brady and Martins will look to lead Curry to a deep run in the CCC Tournament, with their opening round game against Salve Regina slated for 6 p.m. on Saturday.
