NEWPORT, R.I. – Curry men's soccer fell to Salve Regina in the Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinals 6-1 Saturday evening. This marks the end of the Colonel's season this fall.

With the loss, Curry closes their season with an overall record of 9-7-3 and 4-4-1 in the conference. With the win, Salve's record improves to 11-5-3 and 5-2-2 in the CCC. The Seahawks advance to the CCC semifinals to face Roger Williams University on Tuesday.

Curry midfielder Justin Santiago (La Plata, Md.) quickly answered, netting a header off of a free-kick from freshman midfielder Eddie Medina (Las Cruces, N.M.). Santiago's goal would send the Colonels into the half now only trailing by one.

The Seahawks were gifted a point by means of an own goal by the Colonels just under 30 seconds into the second half. Salve would then go on to score three more times in the second half; goals scored by: Danny Bond, Jacob Guerra, and Sam Winiarski. With three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, Salve pulled their lead out of reach and finalized the contest 6-1.
