MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's soccer team closed its 2-1 overtime defeat to Gordon College Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the defeat, Curry ends its regular season with a record of 9-6-3 and 4-4-1 in the CCC.

Gordon's Chase Gwynn opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season in the 13th minute as the Fighting Scots controlled the action in the opening 45 minutes. The visitors outshot Curry 9-1 in the period to take the 1-0 edge into halftime.

The 1-0 scoreline almost held for the entirety of regulation, but Curry junior Richard Savage (Rye, N.Y.) had other plans. Off a corner kick in the 89th minute, the ball found the foot of Owen Bynum (York, Maine), the sophomore found Savage at the top of the box, who fired a shot past the Gordon keeper to tie the score with 1:18 to play.

Just over six minutes into the overtime period, Gordon's Benji Wright scored on a feed over the top from Ryan Modzeleski to end the contest and give Gordon the victory.

Curry junior netminder Kyle Tremblay (Methuen, Mass.) had five saves in the loss, moving to 8-6-3 on the season.
