2017 Men's Soccer Alumni Game Recap

MILTON, Mass. - On Sunday April 23, thirty former Colonels returned to Walter M. Katz Field to play a series of friendly matches with members of the current Curry Men's Soccer Team.

The former Colonels created four teams and mixed current players into their squads. The field was split in half creating two matches at once. Each match was 25 minutes with each team playing one other. After the matches an amazing cookout put on by parents, families, and friends kept everyone laughing and sharing memories of the program. Brian Newsome (12) said, "Today was about more than soccer, it was an incredible time with former teammates." Players from classes dating back to 2008 were present.

"It's such a great day! I'm always humbled, and excited to see so many faces that have shaped this program return and impart their knowledge to the younger players, and interact with their old teammates like no time has passed," said Coach Peter Mendel.

A special thank you to all the alumni and parents that turned out to put on the cookout.
