Madden Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College senior defender Ryan Madden (Milton, Mass.) has been named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team for District 1, which includes colleges and universities in all six New England states as well as New York. The 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Soccer Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Madden is a 2015 team captain and three-year starter for the Colonels. This season, he has started in all 20 games played, collecting a goal and two assists. At the end of his sophomore campaign in 2013, Madden was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Honorable Mention Team.

Madden is a Business Management major with a concentration in Sports Management. He currently maintains a 3.90 grade-point average. Madden has been named to the CCC All-Academic Team twice to date, is a recipient of the Ultramar Scholaship, and has made the Dean's List in each of his six semesters. He is also a men's soccer team representative on Curry's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
