CCC Releases Fall Sports Pre-Season Polls

MILTON, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has released its pre-season coaches’ polls for all fall sports. 

The Curry College Women's Tennis team was chosen sixth. The Colonels look to leader Richard Murray for repeated success on the court. The 2010 CCC Coach of the Year welcomes back sophomore all-league selections Megan Mulrooney, Lauren Chuha, and Emily Mongello. Mulrooney, a first team singles pick, led the team in wins (9) from the #1 singles sport, five within conference matches and posted eight conference victories at #2 doubles. The tandem of Chuha and Mongello was a force to be reckoned with as the duo picked up nine league wins at the #1 doubles spot. The pair earned second team All-CCC recognition last season. Additional noteworthy returners to watch for include Kate Johnson (6-4, 5-3 singles) and Kathleen Rush (6-9, 5-6 singles).
 
The Curry College Women's Soccer team was chosen eighth. The Colonels feature senior All-CCC honorable mention Suzanne Jensen who was tied for second on the team in goals scored in conference play (4), along with goalkeeper Sam Hardy (1.69 goals against average, 85 saves),and forward Brittney McLaughlin (6 goals, 1 assist).

The Curry College Men's Soccer team was chosen eighth. The Colonels look to Second-Team All Conference junior forward Devin Sadlers (6 goals, 4 assists) and forward Honorable Mention All-CCC selection sophomore Eric Guglielmello (5 goals, 3 assists). Additional key returners to watch for include senior goalkeeper Brian Newsome (1.95 goals against average), senior defender, Mike Griffin (1 goal, 1 assist), and junior midfielder Zachary Kumin (2 goals, 1 assist).

The Curry College Women's Volleyball team was chosen ninth.
