MILTON, Mass. - Junior Goalkeeper Brian Newsome (Lawrenceville, N.J.) has been named as both The Commonwealth Coast Conference and ECAC Div.III New England Defensive Player of the Week.

Newsome’s outstanding play in net for the Colonels helped result in a 2-0 week for Curry, including its first win in The Commonwealth Coast Conference play.  The junior netminder had six saves in a 1-0 duel versus The Sage Colleges, then nine more against TCCC opponent Anna Maria in a 3-0 conference win.  The two shutouts were the first victories for the Colonels since their season opener back on September 1.

The Colonels currently have an overall record of 3-5 and 1-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
