Men's Lacrosse Falls Just Short Against Bison

Dudley, MA - The Curry men's lacrosse team fell in CCC action on Wednesday to Nichols by a final score of 9-7. With the loss the Colonels fall to 3-10 on the season and 1-3 in conference play, while the Bison move to 8-5 and 3-1.

Midway through the first quarter the Bison scored the first goal of the game, but the Colonels responded with two goals to close the quarter out, both assisted by Mac Kline. The first came from Stephen Stackhouse with a little over five minutes left in the quarter, followed by an Anthony Lewis goal with a minute left to go in the first. After a scoreless 10 minute stretch in the second, Brody Dalzell put the Colonels up 3-1 with a goal assisted by Dom Cerone. But the Bison responded a minute later, sending the game into the half with Curry up 3-2.

The third quarter saw the Bison score four goals, with Connor Bryant scoring in the middle of them for Curry. Trailing 6-4 headed into the fourth, the Colonels responded with two straight goals to tie things up. Cerone scored first, followed by another Bryant goal. But the Bison would score the next three goals, grabbing control. Stackhouse scored his second goal of the game for the Colonels with less than a minute to go, but the Bison grabbed the win.

Both Joey Pinto and Will Karszes had three caused turnovers for Curry, while Kyle Bouley led the team with five ground balls. Evan Falandys made nine saves in net for the Colonels.

Up next - The Colonels will look to bounce back when they host Wentworth on Saturday at 2pm.
