Three from Men's Lacrosse Receive CCC All-Conference Honors

MILTON, Mass. – Three members of the Curry College men's lacrosse team were honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) on Thursday as the league announced its annual awards.

Freshman Sawyer Allen (Sutton, Mass.) along with graduate students Andrew DeLeary (Wakefield, Mass.) and Jake Stebbins (Colchester, Vt.) were all named to the Third Team.

Allen, a faceoff/midfielder, played in all 12 games, starting in all of them in his first year with the Colonels. He finished the year 185-of-274 at the faceoff X. Allen also paced Curry with 86 ground balls. He recorded three points on the season on two goals and one assist. Allen finished the season second in the CCC in faceoff wins and ground balls. His .675 faceoff win percentage ranked 20th in the nation.

DeLeary recorded 14 goals and 18 assists while registering 17 ground balls and six caused turnovers. He played in all 12 games, finishing second on the team in scoring with 32 points. DeLeary's 18 assists ranked fifth in the conference.

Stebbins registered 17 goals and 19 assists while scooping up 25 ground balls. For the season he appeared in all 12 contests and made seven starts, finishing first on the team in scoring with 36 points. Stebbins' 19 helpers placed him in fourth in the conference in the category. He also finished the season tied for 12th in the CCC with his 17 goals.

Curry finished the season with a 4-8 overall record with a 3-4 mark in the CCC.
