Men's Lacrosse Trio Recognized by CCC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A trio of Curry College men's lacrosse student-athletes have been recognized with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced  by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Tom Cashin (Boxford, Mass.) was honored with the CCC Offensive Player of the Week award while Chris Bronander (Glen Ridge, N.J.) and Zach White (Milford, Conn.) are this week's Defensive Player and Specialist of the Week, respectively.

Cashin had a great week as he compiled 12 points on nine goals and three assists, while collecting eight ground balls. A lot of the damage came in a win against Wentworth as he posted a career-high in points with eight. He had six goals to go along with two assists in that game scoring on six of his seven shot attempts.

Bronander was a force on the defensive end last week.  He caused three turnovers and had six ground balls against the University of New England before collecting five ground balls against Wentworth.

White was unbelievable from the faceoff X going 34-for-49 (69.4 percent) for the week. Against the University of New England, he scored a goal while fielding 13 ground balls. He also went 13-for-21 on faceoffs. In a win over Wentworth, he won 21 of 28 faceoffs and fielded another 13 ground balls.
