Men’s Lacrosse Picked Seventh in CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College men's lacrosse team was picked seventh out of nine teams in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

The 2017 Curry men's lacrosse team returns their top five scorers from a year ago, headlined by junior Matt Serra (Haverhill, Mass.) who was the the Colonels top goal scorer and point recorder from a year ago. Serra put up 36 goals and 17 assists for a total of 53 points, all of which led the team. The defensive unit will be anchored by the collective contributions of juniors Jack Boillotat (Hanover, N.H.), and Chris McGreevy (Rocky Point, N.Y.).

Seniors Dominick Marcella (Hull, Mass.), Shane O'Brien (East Falmouth, Mass.) and sophomore Wade Prajer (Southbury, Conn.) will captain this year's squad as they will look to improve off a 10-7 overall record obtained in 2016, including a 2-6 mark in the CCC.
