Men's Hockey Stays at #3/#4 in Polls; Jumps to #1 in NPI

Milton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey stayed in place in both major rankings this week, sitting at #3 in the DIIIHockeyNews.com poll, and #4 in the USCHO poll. The team received first place votes for the first time all season in both polls, getting three in the DIIIHockeyNews.com poll, and one in the USCHO poll.

In the NPI rankings, which are used to determine the NCAA tournament seeds, the Colonels moved up to #1, above the back-to-back national champions Hobart. The Colonels have showcased their ability to win against some of the best teams in the country, going 6-3 in games against teams in the top 15 of the NPI. Hobart on the other hand, while sporting a 23-1-1 record, has yet to play against a top 15 team, with their highest ranked opponent being #17 SUNY Oswego.

The Colonels will look to extend their 14 game winning streak on Saturday when they host a CNE semifinal game at a time and opponent to be determined on Wednesday.
