Men's Hockey Climbs to Program High in Polls

Milton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team jumped up to a program high in both major rankings this week, sitting at #3 in the DIIIHockeyNews.com poll, and #4 in the USCHO poll. This comes after the Colonels won their 12th and 13th straight games by defeating two ranked teams in Endicott and UNE. The Colonels also clinched the CNE Regular Season title for the second straight season.

In the NPI rankings, which are used to determine the NCAA tournament seeds, the Colonels rank second, just behind Hobart. The PairWise rankings, which previously determined the seeding, actually ranks Curry number one, above the back-to-back national champions Hobart.

The Colonels will wrap up their regular season with a game at Johnson & Wales this Friday. They will then enjoy a first round bye in the CNE playoffs, before hosting a semifinal on March 1st.
