Milton, MA - After a 2-0-0 weekend sweep of Wentworth, the Curry Men's Hockey team stayed ranked 5th in both the USCHO and DIIIHockeyNews.com rankings.

The Colonels shutout Wentworth in both games by scores of 1-0 and 3-0. Goalie Shane Soderwall was named the CNE Goalie of the Week for his efforts.

There is a consensus top five teams in the country, as all major rankings have Hobart, Utica, Aurora, and SUNY Geneseo joining Curry in the top five. While slotted in fifth in the polls, Curry ranks second in the NPI rankings, which is used to determine seeding in the NCAA tournament.

The upcoming weekend should cause a shakeup in the rankings, as #2/#3 Utica and #4 Geneseo play each other twice.

The Colonels will also have their hands full, as they host #15 Endicott on Friday, and play at #8/#10 UNE on Saturday. The game at UNE will all but determine the CNE regular season championship, as the Colonels are ahead of the Nor'easters by three points headed into the weekend, and the two teams split their two games earlier in the season.
