
For the second time this season, sophomore goaltender Shane Soderwall has been named the Conference of New England men's ice hockey Goalie of the Week, announced by the league offices on Monday afternoon.
Soderwall picked up his 15th and 16th wins of the season in a pair of wins over Suffolk. He made 20 saves in the 6-2 win on Friday and 29 in the 4-0 shutout the following day.
Soderwall has had a record-breaking season for the Colonels, with his most recent shutout breaking a single-season and career record for shutouts by a Curry goalie. He has six shutouts on the season and 11 in his career. Soderwall has a 16-3 record on the season with 466 total saves and a .945 save percentage.
Soderwall and the Colonels travel to Wentworth on Friday, February 7th, to try for their 10th straight win.
