
Canton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team kicked off 2025 with a 5-2 win over #8 ranked Trinity. With the win, the Colonels are now 10-3-0, while the Bantams are 6-2-1.
The Colonels came out on fire, scoring three goals in the first period. Nolan McDonough started things off just seven minutes in, scoring off of assists from JP Moreira and Grady Friedman. Three minutes later, Karim Gayfullin scored off a pass from George Vonakis. To close out the period, Eelis Laaksonen scored off an assist from Killian Rowlee after the Trinity goalie misplayed the puck. The Colonels would then add another goal two minutes into the second period, with Gayfullin adding a second goal. The Colonels would add a fifth goal in the third period, as Manny Cabral found the back of the net. The Bantams would score twice in the third, but the Colonels would win 5-2.
Shane Soderwall made 21 saves in the game, picking up his 10th win of the season.
Up Next - The Colonels will look to continue their momentum on Saturday, when they host Anna Maria at 3pm.
