
Biddeford, ME - The Curry Men's Hockey team fell in a CNE match up with the University of New England on Friday by a final score of 2-1. The Colonels are now 8-3-0 on the season, while UNE is 6-3-1. Both teams sit at 5-2 in CNE play.
After a scoreless first period, the two teams traded goals nearly one after the other in the second. The Nor'easters scored with six minutes left, while the Colonels scored with three minutes left. The Curry goal came from Grady Friedman, assisted by Taurin Haddon-Harris. The teams would go back and forth, but a third period goal from UNE would give them the win.
Shane Soderwall stopped 27 of the 29 shots he faced in net for the Colonels.
UNE outshot the Colonels 29-23, and won the battle in the faceoff circle 33-21.
Up Next - The Colonels will look to bounce back tomorrow, when the two teams play in Canton at 3pm.
