Three Colonels Named NEHWA DII-III All Stars

Saugus, MA - On Thursday the New England Hockey Writers Association announced their Division II-III All-Stars, and the Curry Men's Ice Hockey team saw three players recognized.

Freshman goaltender Shane Soderwall, sophomore defenseman Matt Connor, and sophomore forward Gage Dill were all recognized for their outstanding seasons. All three had previously been named CCC First Team members.

Soderwall went 15-4-0 on the season, on his way to being the CCC's goalie and rookie of the year. He posted a 1.59 GAA, and a .949 save percentage. He made his presence known on a national level in the Colonel's final game of the year, tying an NCAA record with 98 saves.

Connor was a mainstay for the Colonels all year, anchoring the defense. He also contributed on the offensive side of things, scoring five goals, and finishing third on the team with 15 assists.

Dill was a key cog to the Colonels offense, leading the team in all major categories. He totaled 12 goals, 18 assists, and 30 points.
