Peter Roundy Named Finalist for American Hockey Coaches Association Coach of the Year

Curry College men's ice hockey head coach Peter Roundy is among twelve coaches announced as the 2023-24 finalists for the Edward Jeremiah Award, given annually to the Division II-III Men's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year. The Jeremiah Award will be announced on Wednesday evening, March 20, in Hartford, Conn.

The nominees represent any coach who won or shared Coach of the Year honors in his conference this past season, along with coaches whose teams advanced to the NCAA Men's Division III Ice Hockey Championships.

Coach Roundy has enjoyed tremendous success this season, leading the Colonels to an overall record of 21-6-1 and a Commonwealth Coast Conference record of 15-3 that put Curry on top of a competitive conference, earning a place in the NCAA Tournament. The season concluded in climactic fashion with a 4OT thriller against defending NCAA Champion #1 ranked Hobart.

During the season, Roundy helped lead the team to a 12-game winning streak, cementing the Colonels as one of the best teams in the country.

Over three years, Roundy stands at 59-21-4. His 59 wins place him fourth all time in program history, while his winning percentage of .730 ranks first, just ahead of Bill Stewart's (1981-1987) mark of .724
