BIDDEFORD, Maine - Men's ice hockey goalie Shane Soderwall (Algonquin, Ill.) earned his fifth Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week award, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Soderwall totaled 53 saves during a two-win week for the Colonels. The freshman made 23 saves in Curry's 4-1 win on the road against Wentworth on Friday, February 9th, and had 30 saves the next day in a home win over Western New England University.

The pair of wins marks 11 straight for Curry College as the men's ice hockey team clinches the top seed in the CCC playoffs. With the victories, Soderwall improves to an overall record of 13-2 on the season with 1.36 goals against average and a .952 save percentage.

The Colonels close out regular season play with Senior Night at home against Suffolk University beginning at 7 p.m.
