Men’s Ice Hockey Slipped Up by Wentworth

BOSTON - Curry College was defeated 5-1 by the Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's ice hockey game at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink.

With the loss, Curry drops to an overall record of 7-3-1 and 5-3 in conference play.

Curry took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute of play when freshman Wilhelm Patriksson (Stockholm, Sweden) scored on a power play. Assists were credited to sophomores Matt Connor (Nottingham, N.H.) and Gage Dill (Estero, Fla.).

Roland Polasek (Bor, Czech Republic) and Shane Soderwall (Algonquin, Ill.) split time in net for the Colonels, combining for 11 saves throughout the contest.

Curry College continues the season on Friday, December 8th, in a road matchup against Anna Maria at 5:40 p.m.
