Two Colonels Earn CCC Men's Ice Hockey All-Conference Recognition

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Junior Timmy Kent (Parkland, Fla.) and senior Kalle Sundell (Helsinki, Finland) of the Curry College men's ice hockey team, have received All-Conference nods from the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The announcement came from the league office on Thursday.

Kent was named to the league's First Team All-Conference for the first time. Kent currently leads the CCC and ranks third nationally with 19 goals scored, and is also tied for the conference-lead with 31 points. He was named a semifinalist for the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Joe Concannon Award, and was also a one-time recipient of the CCC's Player of the Week award during the season.

Sundell has anchored Curry's blue line in the 2021-22 season, and earns All-CCC honors for the first time with a Second Team nod. Sundell finished the regular season with five goals and 13 assists for 18 points, good for second among CCC defensemen. Of Sundell's 18 points, 16 came in CCC contests.

Kent and Sundell will look to lead Curry to a conference championship, starting with the CCC Quarterfinals at home on Saturday evening at the Canton Ice House. Puck drop between the Colonels and Suffolk University is slated for 5 p.m.
