CANTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's ice hockey team exploded for eight goals on Saturday afternoon, defeating Nichols College 8-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Canton Ice House.

With the win, Curry remains unbeaten on the season at 7-0-1, while also moving to 5-0-1 in the CCC.

The Colonels netted the only goal of the opening 20 minutes when Eetu Selanne (Coto de Caza, Calif.) scored his second goal of the season at the 13:13 mark. Senior Nick Magill-Diaz (Clawson, Mich.) and graduate student Tarek Paranica (Grand Forks, N.D.) recorded assists on the game's opening tally.

Nichols leveled the score on an unassisted tally 3:56 into the second, but the tied score would not last for long. Selanne, Timmy Kent (Parkland, Fla.), and Tao Ishizuka (Providence, R.I.) all found the net in the period and Curry took a 4-1 lead into the third.
