Hockey to Host Wentworth in CCC Championship Tournament Quarterfinals Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College men's ice hockey has grabbed the No. 3 seed for the Commonwealth Coast Coast (CCC) Championship Tournament and will host the No. 6 seed Wentworth Institute of Technology in a quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, February 26 at 6:50 p.m. at the Canton Ice House.

The University of New England and Endicott College captured the top two seeds in the field, respectively and have earned first-round byes and will each host a semifinal contest on Saturday, February 29.

The tournament is rounded out with the other quarterfinal of No. 5 seed Nichols College at No. 4 Salve Regina University. The tilt between the Bison and Seahawks will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 in Portsmouth, R.I.

Following the quarterfinals, teams will be re-seeded for the semifinals. The lowest remaining seed will play top-seeded UNE, while the other quarterfinal winner will travel to Endicott. The semifinals will be played on Saturday, Feb. 29 with game times for those matchups being announced following the conclusion of the first round.

The two semifinal winners will advance to compete in the 2020 CCC Men's Ice Hockey Championship game on Saturday, March 7. The winner will be named the CCC Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
