Mohler Scores Four Goals to Lead His Team to a 13-2 Victory Over Western New England College in the ECAC Northeast Quarterfinal Game

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College defeated Western New England College, in men's ice hockey action on Saturday night in Milton, Mass in the ECAC Northeast Quarterfinals.  The Golden Bears fall to 3-21-1 overall, while the Colonels improve to 17-8-1 overall.

The Colonels took an early lead in the first period on a goal from Sophomore Steven Mohler. Mohler would score one more to go up 2-0 heading into the second period.  Curry would go on to score three more in the second before Western New England would get on the board.  All three of the Colonels goals were scored in the first five minutes of the period.  Senior Ross Enmark scored two goals and sophomore Payden Benning scored one.  Freshman Anthony Willett scored two goals for the Golden Bears but that would be the end of the scoring for WNEC.  The Colonels got four more goals to finish out the period.  Mohler and Benning would each score again and sophomore Ryan Barlock and freshman Jacob Hutt would score their first goals of the night. 

Benning would open up the third period earning a hat trick and junior Ryan Warsofsky and senior Sean Sylvester would finish out the scoring.  Mohler would not only score his fourth of the night but he also chipped in for three assists to end the game with seven total points.
 
Freshman Robert Dawson earned the win in net for the Colonels making 19 saves.  WNEC had three different goaltenders play in net. Freshman T.J. Fatse started in goal and made seven saves and allowed five goals in 23:01 minutes.  Junior Just Richards made seven saves and allowed four goals in 13:38 minutes and sophomore Paul Bloom finished in net making 12 saves and allowing four goals in 21:26 minutes.
 
Curry's next game is at home on March 3 at 7:35 p.m. in the ECAC Northeast Semi-final game.  The Golden Bears ended their season in the loss.
