Hockey Knocks Off 13th-Ranked Wentworth, 6-2

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College defeated Wentworth, 6-2, in men's ice hockey action on Thursday night in Milton.  The 13th-ranked Leopards fall to 12-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference play, while the Colonels improve to 10-4-1 and 4-0-1 in the ECAC Northeast.

Curry scored two goals in the first period to take an early 2-0 lead.  Sophomore Steven Mohler and senior Jerry Hotarek would each score.  Curry continued their scoring streak, netting two more in the second on goals by senior Ross Enmark and sophomore John Williams.  Wentworth senior Jeff Oltich would get the Leopards on the board with his first of the night late in the second period.  In the third, Curry would score its fifth and sixth of the night from freshman George Isham and sophomore Payden Benning, respectively. The Leopards tallied one more time at the end of the third as Oltich got his second of the night.

 Senior goaltender Zachary Cardella earned the win in net for the Colonels making 28 saves. Senior Justin Marriot made 30 saves in the loss.

Curry's next game is away at Salve Regina University on January 23 at 5:45 p.m. Wentworth hosts the Seahawks on Monday January 25 in a 7:30 p.m start.
