Hotarek's Third Period Goal Lifts Curry Past Geneseo 3-2
Geneseo, N.Y.-The Geneseo men's ice hockey team hosted the 20th-ranked Curry Colonels (9-4-1) and dropped a tough 3-2 decision tonight as Curry's Jerry Hotarek scored the game-winner, his second goal of the contest, at the 7:30 mark of the third period. 

     Geneseo jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 4:48 of the first when sophomore Jimmy Powers scored from David Arduin and Stefan Decosse. Curry took a 2-1 lead at the first intermission on Hotarek's first goal at 6:58 and Kamrass score at 18:11. Geneseo tied the game at two at the 1:52 mark of the second period when Decosse ripped a shot from the right faceoff circle over the shoulder of the Curry netminder with Arduin picking up the helper. 

     Curry got 30 saves from Jakiel and Geneseo's Adrian Rubeniuk stopped 28 shots in taking the loss. 

     The Ice Knights fall to 7-9-1 on the season and host the Plattsburgh Cardinals on Friday at 7 p.m.
