BOSTON - Curry College men's basketball was beaten 84-72 by the Wentworth Institute of Technology in a Conference of New England men's basketball game Tuesday night at Tansey Gymnasium.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 1-11 and a conference record of 0-5.

The Colonels had a strong first half, jumping out to a game-high 13-point lead late in the first thanks to a pair of free throws by Jeremiah Predin and a jumper by Dekel Cohen Sharon. Unfortunately for Curry, the Leopards pounced back in the second half, overcoming the deficit to take the game away from the Colonels.

The offense ran through junior guard Fransico Lopez who scored 18 points on 19 shots and went 5-for-5 from the free-throw line while grabbing seven rebounds. Malik Gelinas was impactful coming off the bench, scoring 15 points while Predin earned a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds while adding five assists.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday, January 11th, with another away game, this time against Hartford beginning at 3 p.m.
