Men's Basketball Knocked Off by Framingham State

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Curry College men's basketball team dropped a 92-61 decision to Framingham State University on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at the Athletic & Recreation Center.

With the defeat, Curry moves to 0-2 overall on the young campaign. 

The Framingham State offense was hot from the opening tip right through the final horn on Wednesday night, shooting 33-of-60 (55.0 percent) from the floor and 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) from distance. The Rams also ripped down 52 total rebounds to Curry's 24, including 20 offensive rebounds. 

The two bright spots for Curry on the evening were sophomores Frankie Santiago (New Britain, Conn.) and Todd Robinson Jr. (Brockton, Mass.). The tandem each led the Colonels offensively with 14 points each.

Framingham's Ivan Nyantenji led all scorers in the contest with 24 points. He was one of five Rams to finishe the game in double figures.

Curry will return to action on Friday with a road contest at Rhode Island College. Tipoff from Providence is slated for 7 p.m.
