Jurovich and Quinn Named to DII/DIII All-New England Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Two Curry College football player conference all-stars have been selected for the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All-New England team. The team, selected by a committee of media relations representatives from the six conferences, honors the best Division II and III players by position in New England from the 2024 season.

Curry and Endicott are the only Conference of New England teams with multiple players earning the honor. Junior running back Montie Quinn and his classmate defensive lineman Pete Jurovich III were the two Colonels football players named to the All-New England Team.

Quinn broke a litany of records this season including setting the Curry College all-time single-season rushing record with 1652 yards in just three seasons. The First-Team All-Conference nominee, multiple D3Football.Com Team of the Week recipient, and Gold Helmet Award winner scored 13 touchdowns throughout the season including a record-setting 381-yard, four-touchdown performance in a week 10 victory over Nichols to earn CNE Player of the Week.

Jurovich was a standout defensive player for the Colonels, leading the Conference of New England in both sacks and tackles for loss with 6.5 sacks and 13 tackles for a total loss of 81 yards. He finished with a total of 42 tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

The All-New England team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 12, at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center. Reservations must be made no later than Friday, December 6 at 4:00 p.m., and may be made at https://newenglandfootballwriters.com/captains-%26-awards-banquet. Tickets are $75/person.
