BIDDEFORD, Maine - The Conference of New England league offices announced Monday afternoon that three Curry College athletes earned weekly awards for outstanding performances.

Freshman defensive lineman Jayden DelTorchio (Gloucester, Mass.) was named CNE Rookie of the Week for his exemplary efforts in Saturday afternoon's non-conference football game against Ithaca College. DelTorchio was a defensive standout for the Colonels, recording ten total tackles and one pass breakup in the 38-13 loss to the Bombers.

Curry College women's cross country swept the CNE weekly awards, with Mackenzie Husson (Derry, N.H.) named Runner of the Week while Liv Pennington (East Bridgewater, Mass.) took home Rookie of the Week honors. Husson placed fifth in the Travis Fuller Invitational with a time of 21:15 while Pennington finished 28th with a time of 25:50.
