MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.
We continue the series with Matthew Reilly (Braintree, Mass.), a junior from our football program:
How did you get into your sport? My friends and family convinced me to play.
Why did you choose Curry? It was close to home and gave me the opportunity to still play football.
What hobbies do you have outside of your sport? Video games and pick-up basketball
What is your dream job? A Personal Trainer in the NFL.
What is your greatest sports moment? My greatest sports moment would be in high school when my quarterback got stuffed at the one-yard line, the whole offense gathered and pushed him into the end zone.
What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Workout together
Interesting fact about yourself? I played three sports in high school.
Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Skydiving, 2. Travel the world, and 3. Go to Scotland.
Do you have any pregame/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? I drink a Pedialyte before every game.
