Summer Spotlight - Tahg Coakley

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.

We continue the series with Tahg Coakley (Danvers, Mass.), a rising junior from our football program:

How did you get into your sport? I just fell in love with it from the first minute I played.

Why did you choose Curry? I chose Curry because of the brotherhood and the coaches.

What hobbies do you have outside your sport? Hanging with friends and listening to music.

Are you involved in other activities on the Curry campus? If so, explain. Intramural basketball

What is your dream job? To become a teacher one day.

What is your greatest sports moment? Going 27-0 in basketball.

What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Playing video games.

Interesting fact about yourself? I have six siblings.

Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Win CCC Football Defensive Player of the Year, 2. Win the CCC Football Championship, and 3. Play in a playoff game at Curry.   

Do you have any pregame/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? Eating skittles before.
