SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sean Amaru (Westwood, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Football Offensive Rookie of the Week. The running back played a major role in the Colonels' 40-0 shutout of Becker on Saturday afternoon to open conference play.

Amaru averaged 7.9 yards per carry and scored three touchdowns in Curry's 40-0 victory over Becker in CCC Football action. The first-year player rushed for 95 yards on 12 carries with scoring runs of four, 20, and one yards. His three scores were a career-high.

Amaru and the Colonels will next play on Saturday when they host conference opponent Nichols. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
