Curry, the 2009 Boyd Division titlist, received six first place votes. Plymouth State University and Endicott College had one first place vote each. In the Bogan, Maine Maritime captured five first place nods, with the other three going to Bridgewater State College.
The 16 conference coaches put forth their selections for the eventual Conference champion with Curry receiving 11 votes, Plymouth State and Maine Maritime received two votes each, and Bridgewater State was named on one ballot.
The NEFC will kick off the 2009 season on Thursday, September 2 when Massachusetts Maritime Academy travels to SUNY Maritime for a 7:00pm kickoff. The Conference championship game, pitting the champions of the Bogan and Boyd Divisions, will be held on Saturday, November 13 at noon at the site of the Bogan Division Champion.
