Alksninis and Void Receive Invitations to Boston College Pro Day and NFL Regional Combines
MILTON, Mass. – Curry College senior kicker Matt Alksninis and senior running back Dennis Void are two of only a handful of Division III players from the area who have been invited to participate in the Boston College Pro Day. The group of invited athletes has traditionally consisted of Boston College players, along with other senior stars from Division I teams such as UMass and Holy Cross. As in past years, NFL teams will have representatives attending the event. Alksninis and Void will also participate in one of only three NFL regional combines held throughout the country.

In 2010, Alksninis received his third-straight New England Football Conference (NEFC) First Team All-Conference honor for punting, was named to the All-New England Football Writers’ Division II/III All-Star Team as punter for the second time, and was chosen as top Division III New England punter by the ECAC. Alksninis was also chosen as starting punter in the annual Division III Senior Bowl that was held in Virginia. In addition, he was Curry’s Special Teams Player of the Year and an NEFC All-Academic Team member for the third season in a row.

Void played one season at Curry after attending Chabot Junior College, Duquesne University and the University of Nevada. He was the Colonels’ leading rusher in 2010 with 588 yards on 136 carries. He also scored three rushing touchdowns. He also had 17 receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Void earned New England Football Conference (NEFC) Second Team All-Boyd Division honors, was selected to play in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl, and was named to the NEFC All-Academic Team.
