
BEVERLY, Mass. - Curry College baseball was defeated in both games of a doubleheader against Endicott College Friday afternoon at North Field, losing game one 8-0 and game two 8-1.
With the losses, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 8-13 and 4-5 in Conference of New England play.
GAME ONE: Endicott 8, Curry 0
Four players recorded hits throughout the contest, with Kyle Doolin, Tommy Marshall, and Brandon Polanco, while Erik Leonard hit a double.
Henry Marino started on the mound for the Colonels. Striking out three batters. Kyle DeBoer and Seamus Jones pitched in relief, each striking out one batter.
GAME TWO: Endicott 8, Curry 1
The Colonels' only run of the game was a solo home run by Brandon Mantilla-Mercado, who hammered the ball over the left field wall in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Marshall struck out four players in five innings on the mound, Jack Keane pitched two innings in relief.
The Colonels return to action on Tuesday, April 15th, in a road game against Saint Joseph's College of Maine beginning at 3 p.m.
