FRANKLIN, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 13-4 by Dean College in a non-conference collegiate baseball game Sunday afternoon at Longley Athletic Complex.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 3-17 and a conference record of 0-5.

The Colonels took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning starting with a leadoff double to left center field by Cam Barry (Manchester, Conn.). A walk by Kyle Doolin (Stoughton, Mass.) and a single by Erik Leonard (Dedham, Mass.) loaded the bases for George Calderon (New York, N.Y.) who singled to score the first run of the game.

In the top of the fifth, a single from Brandon Polanco (Brownsville, N.Y.) and a walk by Doolin set up Leonard, who knocked an RBI single up the middle of the field to score the second Curry run. The Colonels scored again later in the inning thanks to an error by the first baseman to cut the deficit to three runs (6-3).

The Colonels scored their final run in the seventh inning when a walk by Leonard and a double by Aidan Finnegan (Amsterdam, Netherlands) put runners at second and third for Calderon who hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the fourth and final Curry run.

The Colonels return to action on Monday, April 15th, with a home doubleheader against Western New England University beginning at 1 p.m.
