Baseball Stopped by Wentworth

BOSTON - Curry College was defeated 13-6 by the Wentworth Institute of Technology Tuesday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference baseball game.

With the loss, the Colonels' overall record falls to 3-14, and their conference record is 0-4.

After falling behind by six runs, Curry finally got on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth inning when Erik Leonard (Dedham, Mass.) knocked an RBI single to left field to score Cam Barry (Manchester, Conn.), who doubled to lead off the inning.

The eighth inning saw the Colonels post four runs with an RBI double by Aidan Finnegan (Amsterdam, Netherlands) driving in a pair of runs, while a single to left center by Kyle Doolin (Stoughton, Mass. ) on the ensuing at-bat accounted for another two runs.

A double to left-center field in the top of the ninth inning by Leonard drove in the final run for the Colonels.

Curry College returns to action on Thursday, April 11th, with a home doubleheader against Western New England University beginning at 1 p.m.
