Baseball Opens Conference Play with Loss to Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. - Curry College was swept by the College of Endicott College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference collegiate baseball doubleheader Saturday afternoon at North Park.

With the losses, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 3-12 on the season and a conference record of 0-2.

GAME ONE: Endicott 11, Curry 2

Junior Brandon Polanco (Brownsville, N.Y.) smashed a home run to left field in the top of the first inning to open up the doubleheader with a bang and give the Colonels an early 1-0 lead.

Curry wouldn't score again until the top of the seventh when Aiden Finnegan (Amsterdam, Netherlands) opened up the inning with a leadoff home run over the left field fence.

GAME TWO: Endicott 12, Curry 2

All of Curry's RBIs came from home runs throughout both doubleheader games, starting with a left-center shot by Tommy Marshall (Hanson, Mass.). On the very next at-bat, Kyle Doolin (Stoughton, Mass.) cracked another solo shot to right-center to score Curry's second run and tie the game at 2-2.

Curry College returns to action with a road game at Roger Williams beginning at 3 p.m.
