BIDDEFORD, Maine - Student-athletes on the Curry College men's and women's ice hockey teams each earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.
From the women's team, junior Hannah Berkowitz (Mattawan, Mich.) was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Taurin Haddon-Harris (Boca Raton, Fla.) earned CCC Player of the Week honors for the men's team.
Berkowitz set the Curry women's ice hockey program record for points in a game with a five-point effort in Curry's 8-2 win over Southern Maine on Saturday. She netted two goals and assisted on three more en route to the victory.
Haddon-Harris notched a goal in each of Curry's two games against #7 Endicott over the weekend. He scored the first goal of Curry's come-from-behind 3-2 victory on Friday evening, before adding another in Curry's defeat on Saturday.
It is the first ever CCC weekly award for either player.
