Curry College Celebrates NCAA Division III Week

Milton, Mass. - Curry College Athletics celebrated NCAA Division III Week from April 4th-10th. The weeklong event was a celebration by member institutions and conferences of the division's unique philosophy that equally values academics, athletics and student-athletes' involvement in a full and rich campus life. Curry College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as well as student-athletes from all teams participated in various community service projects and events all week.

Throughout the week, SAAC members sold "Fear the Beard" shirts for the third year with proceeds going to Team IMPACT. Even though the weather proved tricky many faculty and staff members attended the week's games and matches. Curry SAAC President Brett Sinclair said " The shirts always sell really well, the Curry Community enjoys the new designs ever year and supporting Team Impact"

Friday evening student-athletes attended Improv Boston's Funny Friday event on campus. Saturday marked the return of Bubble soccer which was co-sponsored with Curry Intramurals. SAAC members from various teams also shot scenes for the NCAA "It's on us Video". In addition The Curry Women's Soccer and Football Teams participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure on Carson Beach in South Boston.

SAAC and the Athletics Department would like to thank all of the Curry community for their help and support all week long!
